Venezia Transport Services, Inc. completes
implementation of TMWSuite™
Enterprise Management Systems from TMW Systems, Inc
.

CLEVELAND, OHIO - and - POTTSTOWN, PA (March 26, 2002) -
TMW Systems, Inc., the leading developer of enterprise solutions for the North American
trucking industry, and Venezia Transport Services, Inc., a leader in the
trucking and logistics industry, today announced that they have recently
completed the implementation of the TMWSuite enterprise solution and Venezia
is already realizing the benefits from its new company-wide information system.

"Venezia's whole IT group, lead by Kristi Venezia, IT Director, did a
wonderful job during this implementation. Not only had we just re-located our corporate offices, but we asked TMW to also provide us with Great Plains Accounting at the same time," said Louis Capolino, Vice President of Operations. "It couldn't have worked without talented professionals from both organizations. TMW worked very closely with our team - Ken Weiss, Joe Venezia & JP Venezia - to help us complete the implementation in less thansix months. It was hard work, but the results were worth it," Capolino continued. "We now have a complete enterprise systems which allows us greater insight into our operation and makes it easier to share information and pass accurate data back and forth instantaneously.

"We spent a great deal of time evaluating which software solution was the best for Venezia's needs. The principal difference between TMW Systems and their competitors was that all the other companies talked about what their systems would do in the future. TMW already had those solutions in place."

A diversified freight transportation and logistics company, Venezia Transport Services, based in Limerick, PA, offers local and over-the-road dry bulk, tanker, flatbed and van services to a variety of customers andindustries. The family-owned and operated company specializes in dedicated dry, liquid, LP gas, petroleum, chemical and food-grade bulk delivery. The Venezia fleet of 400 tractors and 800 trailers operates from seven facilities in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions.

The diversity of the Venezia operation creates complex business scenarios, Capolino noted. Included are operating divisions that share resources, a high level of service demands by customers and a variety of business and resource requirements that require the elimination of any errors in the equipment assignment process.

"We came to the conclusion that purchasing entirely new operating and information management systems was the best route to take," Capolino explained further. "The decision was made after evaluating a number of competitive systems, visiting other clients and hosting on-site demonstrations. In many cases, the competing suppliers presented solutions that we did not feel were up to date and that would require a great deal of customization and modification. Now that we are up and running - with operations it's clear that we made the right choice. TMW allows us to run our business the way we want, while providing the structure and technology environment to help us improve our efficiency." A long-time user of AS/400 architecture and information systems from Innovative Computing Corp., Venezia realized that a change was in order. In particular, the company felt that the time and expense associated with programming and recreating systems to meet the company's needs was prohibitive. After carefully evaluating what it was spending each year to make its existing information system up to date and effective, Venezia realized that TMWSuite could meet its needs efficiently and cost effectively.

Another reason for Venezia's decision, Capolino pointed out, was that the carrier's existing financial package was lacking functions it needed to  streamline its operation. "The full integration between TMWSuite and the Microsoft Great Plains accounting package was also an important part of our decision," he said. "We did not have a full accounting package before and we were very impressed with the fully integrated features between the two systems.

"We also felt that both our existing system and the other solutions on the market did not address the particular needs of bulk carriers," Capolino continued. "TMW's Bulk Steering Committee, on the other hand, is the best thing going. The interaction with other similar carriers, backed by software designed with bulk operations in mind, made us realize the value of being able to get together to share ideas and help develop the latest versions of the TMWSuite enterprise solution. We believe in the value of the steering committee so much that Kristi Venezia is a board member of the committee."

Venezia's involvement in the TMW Bulk Steering Committee actually builds on a relationship between Capolino and Tom Weisz, CEO & President of TMW Systems. Both men are very active members of the Truckload Carriers Association, where Capolino uses his more than 20 years of trucking and transportation management experience as chairman of the TCA recruiting and retention panel and Weisz heads up the TCA membership committee. "We share a mutual respect for the association," Capolino stated. "Our common values made it easier to do business with each other."

"Venezia Transport Services made the decision to implement the TMW client-server based TMWSuite enterprise solution for a number of reasons," said Tom Weisz. "In addition to being offered a turnkey solution, among the reasons Venezia chose TMWSuite is the system's inherent flexibility, the ability to customize the solution up front. All in all, we are proud to be able to count Venezia as a client."
