VENEZIA RECOGNIZES 96 DRIVERS AS WINNERS OF SECOND ANNUAL EMERALD CLUB
AWARDS
LIMERICK, PA (January 18, 2001) - Venezia has
named 96 drivers as winners of the second annual Emerald Club Awards, more than doubling
the number of winners over last year. The awards are given to the company's top performing
drivers.
According to President Frank Venezia, 55 drivers earned the company's top Gold Medal
award, valued at $500, while 28 earned the $350 Silver Medal and 13 reached the Club's
$200 Bronze Medal plateau. "It is extremely encouraging and gratifying to see the
number of Emerald Club Award winners more than double since we began this additional
incentive program last year,"said Venezia. "Beyond all else, the results show
that we are succeeding in our goal of providing our customers with the highest possible
level of service."
Emerald Club incentives are awarded to drivers who meet Venezia's monthly attendance, safe
driving and customer service standards. Drivers earn Gold Metals for hitting incentive
targets in all 12 months of 2000. Silver Medals are awarded to drivers who meet
performance goals in 11 of 12 months, with Bronze Medals given for those qualifying in 10
of 12 months in the last calendar year.
Winners receive Emerald Club rewards in addition to the company's standard monthly
incentive bonuses. Winners are honored at the company's awards ceremony in February.
