VENEZIA EXPANDS INTO LP GAS MARKETLIMERICK, PA.March 27, 2000 -- Venezia Transport Service, Inc has expanded into the LP Gas hauling market by acquiring the propane transport assets of Walter J. Styer, Inc., of Uwchland, Pa. With the purchase in mid-March, Venezia assumes ownership and operation of Styer's entire fleet and customer delivery commitments to LP Gas manufacturers, marketers and retailers throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Midwestern states. The new LP Gas division will operate as Venezia Hauling Inc. and will be dispatched out of the former Styer terminal located in suburban-Philadelphia's Eagle, Pa. According to Executive Vice President Andrew J. Venezia, the company plans to expand Venezia's presence in the LP gas market by utilizing its existing fleet, its professional sales and logistics staff, and its state-of-the-art communications and logistics technology. "This acquisition establishes Venezia immediately as an LP Gas carrier and further establishes us as one of the leading carriers in the eastern US," Venezia said. "It fits well with our overall objective to maximize the use of our equipment and personnel throughout the year. The additional demands of LP Gas transport during the winter months compliment the seasonal demands in our cement hauling business and expand the career opportunities for our drivers. The bottom line is that we will now bring our high level of customer service and the operating efficiencies of an expanded Venezia organization to yet another market segment, LP Gas."
